A new open-architecture superconducting quantum computer has joined the TUNA series. TUNA-17, developed by OpenSuperQPlus partner QuTech in close collaboration with the Delft quantum technology ecosystem, is now publicly available through the cloud-based Quantum Inspire platform. As the third TUNA system released this year, TUNA-17 marks another milestone in the scalable quantum computing approach pursued by the DiCarlo Lab at QuTech. The team is already working on TUNA-28, the next processor in the series. TUNA-17 also demonstrates full-stack integration across a fully European value chain, providing an interoperable system that seamlessly connects the hardware and software layers. By providing open, cloud-based access, the QuTech team aims to make quantum computing accessible to a broader community beyond researchers and developers, thereby strengthening the European quantum ecosystem.
